Dr. Suzan Kobashigawa

Suzan Kobashigawa, a professor in the College of Education at Northwest University, specializes in language and culture in contexts of learning. With degrees from the School for International Training, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Northwest University, she has trained hundreds of teachers over 30+ years. She teaches courses in Culturally Responsive Teaching, Assessment, and Research. She is curious about the use of ethnographic methods to more deeply understand a culture from the inside out.  Her research interests include qualitative inquiry (ethnography), language, culture, and literacy.
